Getting started - application information

This page is intended to help you starting your experiments by a short introduction.

Here, you find a list of some important plants forming AM.

Products are easy to use, if you have any questions or need specific information, please email us and we'll be happy to help.

How to get started

  • - Design your experiment and calculate the amount of AM fungal propagules needed; don't forget that you have to setup valid controls, by either applying inactivated AM fungal inoculum or carrier material only. Take into account the water content when you use semi-dry powder inoculum (the bulk carrier is dry, thus less weight s needed)
  • - Screen our catalogue and chose the AM fungi you wish to use according to your experimental setup and questions.
  • - Choose the AM fungal formulation best suited for your application.
  • - Order :-) [thank you!].
  • - Store the products in a cool place. Stick to storage (4-20°C) and handling instructions - you deal with living material. Note that principally the material may also be stored for some time at higher temperatures, but we will not guarantee shelf-life. Material should be stored at 4-8°C  for longer periods.
  • - Use the AM fungi for preliminary experiments, conditions vary a lot in different stups (e.g., temperature has a strong effect) and after you are convinced and satisfied plan your future experiments.

Our products are characterized and all batches sent out are tested and calibrated for vaiability.

Regarding AM fungal identification

There are many AM fungi containing products on the market, but most are not designed for research purpose. Our products are well characterized.

Please check our scientific publications to get some impression of of the sound scientific base of our work and services

Important

Products described here are sold for research purposes only. Refer to other sections for consumer products or applications. We may provide you with information and contacts regarding large scale products for agricultural application (corn, potato, soy, ...).

It is important that you read our Policies, Terms and Conditions.

Our Team

We provide English and German speaking support.

Our Partners

We participated in many international research projects, covering basic research but also applied research. We provided phylotaxonomic data for the classification of AM fungi for several international databases, like Species 2000 or Index Fungorum, and we are member of the international fungal barcoding consortium. Currently we are active in a bilateral research programm with Mexican partner, to develop AM fungi based inoculum for mexican crop plants.
